DEF CON 13
Jack C. Louis presents unicornscan
▶ WATCH ON YOUTUBEOpens at 17:09 — the unicornscan section
DEF CON 13 (2005) — Jack introduces the distributed stimulus/response architecture, the 3-process Scatter Connect model, and demonstrates high-speed scanning techniques.
This talk explains why unicornscan was built differently: userspace TCP/IP stack, stateless scanning via TCPHASHTRACK, and the philosophy of “you supply the stimulus, we supply the delivery mechanism.”
